I am Peace.

I originated from Heaven - my King’s
dwelling place,
and I am come to help
ease your pain,
to heal,
to strengthen.

I am Peace.

I bring harmony
to one’s soul,
music to one’s spirit,
light
to the one taken captive
by anxieties.

I am
the sound of sweet silence
and the color
of quietness.

Be still...

be still,
and know Your God!

Listen!

Listen ... and live!

I am Peace.

I coexist with faith.
I take residence
where there is trust –
complete and solid trust.
I take no pleasure in worry.
I am hope’s best friend.
I am here
to remind you,
”Cast your cares upon Him
for He cares for you.”

I am Peace.

I am the fruit
of divine dependence,
the savor
of a praying heart.
I am not hard to find,
for I am as close to those
who know
how to draw near
unto God.

I am Peace.

Rest in me, troubled soul!
You are greatly loved!

The topic that week was Personal Peace. I intended it to be a work of prose but it had some lyrical somewhat singsong quality to it so I thought of reformatting it to look like free verse.

beautiful and very comforting I've been in a whirlwind all week due to drastic changes in my life,my job & childcare is closing at the end of the month due to finances, but you said it all in the line about for i am close to those who know how to draw near to God and thats all i need to do.Hallelujah great poetry

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus. The Father of mercies and the God of all comforts - who comforteth us in our tribulation that we may be able to comfort those who are also in tribulation by the comfort by which we ourselves are comforted of God.
