Psalms 102:1-2, 1 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee. 2 Hide not thy face from me in the day [when] I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day [when] I call answer me speedily.

When Brother and Sister Urshan were alive (my I miss them now!!), one of their "signature" songs was "No Hiding Place Down Here." One of the lines is, "I went to the Rock to hide my face, but the Rock cried out, 'No hiding place', No hiding place down here." When someone lives the way of the hypocrite, there is NO HIDING PLACE. Even the Rock - The Lord Jesus Christ - can't help you in your dishonesty. He cannot tolerate dishonesty, for He is Truth (see John 14:6), but when we lay our ALL 'cards on the table', no matter how not pretty they may be, He will simply nod in the affirmative, the angels will rejoice, and He will begin painting you life anew in colours of crimson! Halleujah!!!!! Then you can hide in the Rock! Then you have a Saviour that fights your battles! Then you have a Friend that sticketh closer than any Brother!!!!! He is our Refuge and Strength! A very present help in times of trouble.

Does anyone have a personal sanctuary they can worship and pray in?
The Church sanctuary is not available at night anymore because the building has been sold. It seems the best time to go to Church is when everyone else has gone home and you can use the sanctuary alone or with a few seasoned intercessors who don't mind mentoring a novice.

This is the kind of stuff we need to know, what it takes to escape the rut of flowing with the natural circumstances of this life and believing God for the supernatural.
I know the whole world must be sick of rolling with the punches. We want to punch back at the devil. God bless the folks in Michigan.

The child was buried but at the funeral service the Mother was so sick with grief she wanted to die and fell out on the floor. The Paramedics came because they could not find her pulse and they were trying to revive her. After a while she can to and was at peace because when she was gone she saw her child at the foot of Jesus and the child was telling her not to cry and that everything would be OK. There will be a resurrection one day but thank you all for your prayers for the Farmville family.

OM! How tragic that news is! God IS a God of miracles! In these parts (Michigan) and I will say that it was 1980, a similar thing happened. But it was Dad (one of the church's Youth ministers) that didn't see his daughter -- but we prayed, the Lord answered, and He raised her up!

Mind you, a 30-second Mickey Mouse job prayer time isn't going to do the "trick" in this type of situation! NO! There needs to be folks staying over at the church even tonight keeping watch in prayer (all night) sleeping can be done in shifts -- and all day tomorrow until the child raises up alive.

When the miracle of Shayna's human life returning to her body, the Power of the Spirit of God swooped down so strongly down upon the praying saints in the church building that the building literally & physically shook under the power of the Holy Ghost.

"Jesus Christ...the same yesterday, today, and forever." (Hebrews 13:8)

I was thinking that it seems to be wasted effort to fast for our Church service because everyone is so accustom to the same old same old program so I though I may try extending my fast from Saturday till Monday for a new beginning or some sort of break through in my personal life.

A very tragic thing happened in Virginia District. The Pastor of the Farmville Church had a get together with his family Saturday and his wife accidentally ran over her 2 year old grand child and killed the child. The grief of such a thing would be so tormenting that it could destroy a family or even the Ministry of that family. Under any other situation where the child may have died from some sickness or birth defect there would be a closure and release of the child into God's hands. This seems to merit a resurrection of that child because there would possibly be no way they could ever have a closure in this life to the grief of this loss of this child because of the situation and the self inflicted remorse and grief of having initiated the loss by this accident. It is much to much for a grand mother to carry.

If there is still any believer man or woman of God that can pray the prayer of faith for the working of miracles, Brother and Sister William in Farmville, Virginia need them now. It appears everyone of the minister friends of theirs around here has already given up the child to be buried Tuesday.

Jesus knows your secrets, everything you do,
He know your life is untrue;
You can never deceive Him,
There's no use to try,
You can't do wrong and get by."

The hair of the women hasn't been bobbed here yet but it might as well be bobbed because of the deadness of heart full of apathy and indifferance.

I always hear of the mighty acts of God with miracles and even folks being raised from the dead but nowadays those are replaced with lame excuses saying God wants us to suffer and be able to empathize with suffering people. I would like my wife to believe God for her knee to be healed but she believes God wants her to suffer and eventually go through a second knee replacement because a knee replacement is only good for ten years and then it has to be redone again. The modern day Church might as well be teaching that Jesus went to the whipping post for nothing and that he wasn't serious because he is a cruel joker who wants to see folks suffer. The only thing modern day women in the Church want is to watch all the movies they want and lull the Church into RCC paganism of trying to pacify God with RCC traditions commemorating their pagan holidays.

I don't know if there's any truth to the story, but as a younster, I heard that the reason why our churches were pretty much named "Such-and-so Tabernacle" was because 1.) we are a spiritual Israel wandering in the wilderness (sinful world); 2.) The Tabernacle is in the midst of God's people -- they have easy access to it; 3.) It is a "Tent of Meeting". The Lord meets and speaks with His people at the Tabernacle. That's why the majority of our churches at one time were known as "Tabernacles."

I am very fond of your prayer shawl, showing the paralellism between repentance, water baptism in Jesus' name, and the baptism in the Holy Ghost with the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ!

One thing I personally teach to a lot of people struggling to understand Truth over tradition is that the Man Jesus Christ is a perfect example, or parallel of what we can be! Naturally He alone is God, and there is none like Him -- but what a design! True Believers (those that have fully rent the veil of tradition) are Human on the "outside", yet "divine" on the inside! The Lord Jesus Christ is God in flesh! He is God and Man. Once again, we cannot become, or are not God -- only Jesus is. But the Oneness of God is a perfect example of what becomes of man when he is baptized in the Holy Ghost.

The "main" point of my comment, though, is this -- I cannot understand why there are some Apostolic Pentecostal women that are itching to bob their hair?

The Pentecostal woman's hair is a sign to the Lord, the church, her husband, her family, and the world, of her dedication and sumission to the Lord. (And soon I'll get "riled up in the Holy Ghost" about husbands that demand godly submission from their wives, but couldn't care less about loving her as Jesus Christ loves and looks after the church!).

Her hair is as a veil that covers her as she approaches the Mercy Seat. Many in our midst think little of the Roman Church, but one of the correct things they did was have women cover their heads while in the presence of the Lord. Many Apostolic groups require prayer veils and coverings for women when they enter the Tabernacle of the Lord.

Does the desire for shorn hair mean a heart-desire to not be submitted to Christ? Think about it. If it didn't matter or was't an issue, why is it in the Scriptures?

"Back in the day" before there were terms like "Lib", "Con", "Ultra-Con", and so forth there was a division: The Church or the World. Holiness or Hell. Get Right or Get Left.

Why are we attempting to see how close we can mimic the world and "get by"?

As the song we used to sing goes: "You can't do wrong and get by, No matter how much you may try; Nothing hidden can be, everything He doth see, you can't do wrong and get by."

Could it be, Jesus loves tents! It seems all the really great revivals were in tents or brush arbors.

May be we should establish the use of a Tallit which means tent (a prayer shawl).
It would be like carrying your own personal portable tent revival with you. The Jews use them to cover themselves with when they pray. Perhaps gentiles should do the same.

We could have them show the gospel in pictures like this one.

Thank you Elder Marty Wright for the trip down memory lane. I came into this Apostolic Pentecostal movement after it had already backslid so I didn't get to experience the real deal. These days the Church is more like a RCC fellowship than Apostolic Pentecostal.

I was wondering if there is a group of men somewhere in Apostolic Pentecostal fellowships or part of one of the organizations that is like a Special Forces evangelistic team that stays focused on prayer and evangelism. National governments have all sorts of departments and branches it only seems to me that the Kingdom of God may also have a group of highly trained intercessor ministers that does not get caught up in the affairs of the modern day Church.

A good soldier does not entangle himself in the affairs of this world. The Church is so side tracked in RCC paganism and programs of entertainment that there is hardly any space or time we can have a half way decent prayer meeting and never do we attain any anointing or consecration that would avail much of anything to manifest a real revival in our community.
